Dr. Tim Reeder’s Economic Prescription: Putting Families First

As a practicing emergency physician, Rep. Dr. Tim Reeder puts patients first. In the North Carolina House, he puts Pitt County families first. While costs keep rising, Reeder is focused on keeping more money in North Carolinians’ pockets.

His economic prescription:

• Cut income taxes, cap property taxes, and eliminate the grocery tax

• Invest in workforce and economic development

• Expand healthcare access and affordability

• Support small businesses and job creators

Reeder, Deputy Majority Whip and House Health Committee Chairman, has backed continued income tax cuts and limits on property tax hikes. He is a lead co-sponsor of legislation to repeal the two percent local grocery tax.

He still works in the ECU Health emergency department and was appointed to the North Carolina Health Care Affordability Commission. At home, he has helped secure major funding for ECU, ECU Health, and Pitt County projects.
