Ferguson championed a bipartisan effort to cap the state income tax at 3.5% and to implement common-sense limits on rising property taxes.

She stood strong in support of permanently capping North Carolina’s personal income tax at 3.5%, providing lasting relief for families, retirees, and small business owners.

Ferguson also led the effort to pass House Bill 1089, the constitutional amendment to rein in exploding local property taxes and protect homeowners from unchecked increases.
